Conceitualmente hiperdontia \u00e9 o desenvolvimento de um n\u00famero maior de dentes, e os dentes adicionais s\u00e3o chamados de supranumer\u00e1rios.<br \/>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 A preval\u00eancia desta altera\u00e7\u00e3o dent\u00e1ria de desenvolvimento \u00e9 de maior frequ\u00eancia na denti\u00e7\u00e3o permanente e aproximadamente 90% dos casos em maxila, com forte predile\u00e7\u00e3o na regi\u00e3o anterior e podem apresentar-se em \u00edntima rela\u00e7\u00e3o com as demais estruturas anat\u00f4micas adjacentes. <br \/>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 As imagens tomogr\u00e1ficas a seguir ilustra a presen\u00e7a de supranumer\u00e1rios na maxila, localizados em dois s\u00edtios (Imagens 1 e 2).<\/p><p>Imagem 1- Observa-se a presen\u00e7a de supranumer\u00e1rio incompletamente formado
