n\u00e3o apenas para a coleta de dados antropom\u00e9tricos, mas tamb\u00e9m para melhorar os protocolos cl\u00ednicos e entender por que um procedimento cl\u00ednico espec\u00edfico \u00e0s vezes n\u00e3o produz os resultados esperados, assim, as imagens de TCFC t\u00eam um papel crucial no reconhecimento de varia\u00e7\u00f5es anat\u00f4micas, permitindo avalia\u00e7\u00f5es tridimensionais detalhadas.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Varia\u00e7\u00f5es anat\u00f4micas na maxila s\u00e3o raramente descritas na literatura e, na maioria dos casos, est\u00e3o relacionadas ao canal nasopalatino\u00a0 e nesta publica\u00e7\u00e3o a descri\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 de uma rara varia\u00e7\u00e3o anat\u00f4mica da presen\u00e7a de um canal acess\u00f3rio bilateral que se estende da parede lateral da cavidade nasal at\u00e9 um forame acess\u00f3rio localizado no palato duro, adjacente ao incisivo lateral superior observado em imagens de tomografia computadorizada de feixe c\u00f4nico (TCFC).\u00a0Este caso \u00e9 uma varia\u00e7\u00e3o anat\u00f4mica do nervo alveolar superior anterior (<em>Canalis Sinuosus<\/em>).\u00a0A identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de varia\u00e7\u00f5es anat\u00f4micas individuais, especialmente na TCFC, pode ajudar o cirurgi\u00e3o a evitar les\u00f5es nos nervos durante a coloca\u00e7\u00e3o do implante e\/ ou acesso cir\u00fargico com proximidade a esta estrutura.<\/p><p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Conceitualmente <em>Canalis Sinuosus<\/em> \u00e9 um canal neurovascular que transporta o nervo alveolar superior anterior e os vasos, no qual se origina \u00e0 partir do\u00a0 canal infraorbital, que \u00a0emite um pequeno ramo em sua face lateral, pr\u00f3ximo ao seu ponto m\u00e9dio e que corre para frente e para baixo at\u00e9 a parede inferior da \u00f3rbita, lateral ao canal infraorbital e dobrado medialmente \u00e0 parede anterior do seio maxilar, passando abaixo do forame infraorbital.<\/p><p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 No caso a seguir refere-se imagens de TCFC trabalhadas no programa EVOL com o objetivo de localiza\u00e7\u00e3o de dente supranumer\u00e1rio, este se apresentava em disposi\u00e7\u00e3o vertical e \u00e0 palatina do dente 13. Suprajacente ao elemento de estudo observou-se a presen\u00e7a do <em>Canalis sinuosus<\/em>.
